The Queensland Chapter of the National Association of Prospective Student Advisers (QNAPSA) was formed in 1999 to support the activities of its members throughout the state and northern New South Wales. Members have drawn up a code of practice covering the organisation and staging of careers events throughout Queensland to ensure equitable access for all prospective students, to promote the benefits of higher education and to ensure that all institutions address health and safety issues adequately with staff in the field.
The association provides a forum for members to meet representatives from other institutions, to discuss concerns about career events and working conditions, and to access professional development opportunities.
QNAPSA has also put together a concise wall calendar for guidance officers to access details about upcoming regional careers markets and member open days. For more information visit the QNAPSA wall calendar 2011-2012
Benefits of becoming a QNAPSA member include:
QNAPSA has huge potential to make the lives of prospective student advisers working in Queensland and northern New South Wales easier and to raise the profile of our jobs and industry. We welcome all new members to assist in increasing the profile of the association and have their input into planning for its future growth.
Should you require further clarification on the benefits and advantages of QNAPSA membership, please feel free to contact any of the QNAPSA Executive members.
